We are collecting new or gently-used books for the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County. Bring one and you'll receive an extra door prize ticket. Due to the nature of their services, they request that the book contain no mention of violence against women or children.
LM Preston is the author of the Middle Grade series, Explorer X; the Young Adult series, The Pack; and the Young Adult novels Bandits and Purgatory Reign. She has taken the helm of her own career by creating her own publishing company, Phenomenal One Press, and by taking full advantage of the Internet: Ms. Preston has a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a YouTube channel, a blog on WordPress, another on Blogger, and she can be found on Amazon and on Goodreads.
A look ahead:
On Thursday, June 20 we will have elections, and also something else...something so wonderful it will be discussed in coffee shops and research papers for decades if not centuries to come!

From 29S take Exit 18 for Broken Land Pkwy/Columbia toward Town Center/Owen Brown. Turn left at Broken Land Pkwy, then take the 1st left onto Hickory Ridge Rd. Turn left at Sunny Spring.
From 95 or 29N, take MD-32 W towards Clarksville, then Exit 17 to merge onto Cedar Lane. Turn right at Owen Brown Rd, then left at Sunny Spring.

Kahler Hall in Columbia
From I-29, exit west onto Rt. 175 which becomes Little Patuxent Parkway. Pass mall and Gov. Warfield Parkway, then turn right onto Harpers Farm Road (Howard Community College campus is on left). Go to the 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Beaverkill Road. Take an immediate left onto Old Tucker Row. Kahler Hall is the building on left toward the front of the parking lot behind Harper's Choice Village Center.
From downtown Baltimore: Take 95 South. Exit at 175 West towards Columbia (It becomes Little Patuxent Parkway). Turn right on Harper's Farm Road (Howard Community College is on left). Owen Brown Interfaith Center (OBIC)
OBIC is behind the Owen Brown Village Center on Cradlerock Way. From Rt. 29, take Broken Land Parkway east toward Owen Brown, turn left onto Cradlerock Way and turn between McDonald's and gas station. OBIC will be on left up hill. Use the lower entrance.
