Howard County February Chapter Meeting
Hello fellow writers. It's time to Leap into Writing.
Our speaker for February is Cecelia Dowdy. Her information is below. She will be speaking on writing Christian romance. We will discuss the differences in writing Christian romance versus regular romance.
CECELIA DOWDY is a world traveler who has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember. When she first read Christian fiction, she felt called to write for the genre. She loves to read, write, and bake desserts in her spare time. Cecelia loves to help other authors and she runs a popular book review blog entitled Cecelia’s Christian Fiction Blog (www.ceceliadowdy.blogspot.com). She also enjoys giving other African-American authors exposure, so she runs a website entitled Black Christian Fiction (www.blackchristianfiction.com). This website contains links for many African-American Christian Fiction authors. Cecelia currently resides with her husband and young son in Maryland.

From 29S take Exit 18 for Broken Land Pkwy/Columbia toward Town Center/Owen Brown. Turn left at Broken Land Pkwy, then take the 1st left onto Hickory Ridge Rd. Turn left at Sunny Spring.
From 95 or 29N, take MD-32 W towards Clarksville, then Exit 17 to merge onto Cedar Lane. Turn right at Owen Brown Rd, then left at Sunny Spring.

Kahler Hall in Columbia
From I-29, exit west onto Rt. 175 which becomes Little Patuxent Parkway. Pass mall and Gov. Warfield Parkway, then turn right onto Harpers Farm Road (Howard Community College campus is on left). Go to the 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Beaverkill Road. Take an immediate left onto Old Tucker Row. Kahler Hall is the building on left toward the front of the parking lot behind Harper's Choice Village Center.
From downtown Baltimore: Take 95 South. Exit at 175 West towards Columbia (It becomes Little Patuxent Parkway). Turn right on Harper's Farm Road (Howard Community College is on left). Owen Brown Interfaith Center (OBIC)
OBIC is behind the Owen Brown Village Center on Cradlerock Way. From Rt. 29, take Broken Land Parkway east toward Owen Brown, turn left onto Cradlerock Way and turn between McDonald's and gas station. OBIC will be on left up hill. Use the lower entrance.
